Assistant to PMO


The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure the successful execution of projects within established timelines and budgets in water resources industry.

Job Description

Assist the PMO in coordinating and facilitating water industry projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Utilize engineering expertise to contribute to project planning, design, and implementation, with a focus on energy-related aspects. Proficiently use AutoCAD to create detailed drawings, schematics, and technical documentation for project requirements. Support the PMO in monitoring project progress, identifying risks and issues, and implementing effective mitigation strategies. Conduct thorough evaluations of project outcomes, analyze data, and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders.

Collaborate closely with the Chief Water Supply Officer and other team members to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively. Take the lead on certain projects or tasks assigned by the PMO, demonstrating initiative and autonomy in project management. Manage and maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, and technical specifications, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. Implement data management systems and protocols to organize project-related information and facilitate decision-making processes.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to support project delivery. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout all project phases. Provide technical support and guidance to team members, leveraging engineering expertise to address complex challenges. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and optimization within the project management framework.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with minimum three-year experiences.
  • Previous project coordination or administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
